The Sculpture of the Sanctuary of Athena Polias at Priene

Carter uses the notebooks of the original excavators to construct a detailed study of the Hellenistic temples’ sculpture, now largely preserved in the British Museum. He analyses the material and advances suggestions for the original position of the relief sculpture. Also contains a fully illustrated catalogue.
