Creep of Materials and Structures

The failure of components at elevated temperatures can have catastrophic effects. Therefore, the development of safe design procedures, regularly modified and revised to take advantage of the continuous advances in materials, material behaviour modelling and stress analysis procedures, is an ongoing process. This is a review of current knowledge of creep phenomena and advances in high temerature design procedures. The papers originally appeared as a special edition of the Journal of Strain Analysis for Engineering Design .
