Tsetse Biology and Ecology: Their Role in the Epidemiology and Control of Trypanosomosis

Trypanosomosis is a parasitic disease transmitted cyclically by the tsetse fly (glossina spp.), and is considered the main constraint to livestock production in some areas. Sleeping sickness is caused in humans by a species of trypanosoma, and is an important and neglected disease posing a threat to millions of people in tsetse-infected areas. This is a comprehensive survey of the literature on tsetse-transmitted trypanosomosis.
