Ivtanthermo: a Thermodynamic Database and Software System for the Personal Computer, Version 3.1

A computerized system providing information on the thermodynamic properties of some 2,300 substances (containing 85 elements and the electron) in the standard state over a wide temperature range. This unique software programme allows the user to calculate thermodynamic parameters of chemical reactions and the composition of chemical systems. Ivtanthermo, Version 3 provides the following information on each substance with choice of formats, temperature scales, and energy units: substance name and chemical formula; accuracy of thermodynamic properties; isobaric heat capacity, entropy, change of enthalpy, and Gibbs energy function; equation(s) fitting tabulated values of Gibbs energy function; and enthalpy of formation, equilibrium constant. Ivtanthermo, Version 3 will run on IBM-compatible AT class or PS/2 personal computers (80287, 80387 or higher) with 640K RAM and a hard drive containing a minimum of 2.5MB of available disk space. DOS 3.0 or higher is required. ACCG, EGA or VGA card is required for graphics. A maths co-processor and PC-compatible printer are recommended.
