Sound the Trumpet is the story of Samuel Dhlamini, one of missionary Harmon Schmelzenbach’s first converts. Raised in a Swazi village, steeped in the pagan culture, proud, haughty, and adventurous, Samuel scorned the missionary at first. But when God encountered this Swazi youth, even before he understood who this God was, Samuel knew he wanted to belong to Him. This began a lifetime of devoted, trusting service that took him far afield and in the process made him a devout child of God who became a beloved leader of the Swazi Christians.
