Famous American Trails

The Famous American Trails series tells the stories of the brave pioneers and explorers who blazed America’s expansion to the West. This series highlights the most important trails that pioneers used to move their families and belongings westward–such as the Mormon Pioneer Trail, the Wilderness Road, and the Santa Fe Trail. Using vivid pictures, detailed maps, and interesting facts, readers will get a taste of life on America’s most famous trails. This series correlates to the social studies curriculum by exploring the many cultural, economic, and political issues surrounding the creation and use of six different American trails.
