Intercultural Ethos Mediation with the Mass Media: Sympathy as the Means for the Mediation of the Christian Ethos in the Modern Confucian Society

The author of this book is looking at a new way to increase the intercultural understanding between the East and the West. His main point is the proposal of a phenomenological analysis of the role and function of cyber-space as a presupposition-free medium. This is a new and therefore open-ended approach to an open problem. It presents the interesting endeavor of approaching the classic theme of intercultural communication with a method commensurate with the fast changing world of our contemporary information age.
