Drawing on detailed interviews with Catholic and Protestant couples in Northern Ireland, this book examines how couples marry across group boundaries in the context of violent social conflict. Challenging existing theoretical assumptions about intermarriage, this text also looks at deviant relationships and how the wider social environment reacts to them.
