The contributors extend in time from Aristotle and Sophocles to Buckminster Fuller and May Sarton. They include such diverse thinkers as Martin Luther, Karl Marx, Lewis Carroll, Julian Huxley, Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Gertrude Stein, Henry Nelson Wieman and Alfred North Whitehead.
