Proceedings of the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Meetings of the French Colonial Historical Society

This volume, containing articles presented at two annual meetings, is for the most part devoted to nineteenth and twentieth century topics, in an effort to promote an even balance between the old regime and modern forms of expansion overseas. The topics are interdisciplinary in nature, ranging from French involvement in the American Falklands, to French communities in the American midwest.
