The Presidency and Science Advising

With this fifth volume in the series on the presidency and science advising, the Miller Center continues its inquiry into a crucial and neglected topic in presidential studies. All the contributors to this volume dwell on the opportunities as well as the problems of science advising. Science advising is seen as more difficult to organize and implement than economic or national security advising, although the several authorities offer different explanations. Contributors to this volume include D. Allen Bromley, Jack Ruina, Richard Garwin, Edward Teller and Harvey Brooks. Co-published with the Miller Center of Public Affairs.
