There and Back Again: School Shootings as Experienced by School Leaders

Here is the story of the men and women in leadership roles at four schools in North America where shootings occurred. Based on one-on-one interviews with nearly 20 leaders, this book provides an intimate view of what it was like to lead in the aftermath of extreme school violence. Their stories reveal a broad range of individual responses that will be enlightening to educators, mental health workers, policy makers, and researchers-especially those using phenomenology as a methodology.
