The Russian Diaspora: 1917-1941

An overview of Russian history, literature, arts and the lives of many Russians who chose exile after the revolutions and civil war 0f 1917-1921. A brief historical outline introduces each topic which is then followed by a listing of contributors within the Russian diaspora. The final section provides a listing of Western-language and Russian references. The book stresses the accomplishments of the diaspora after they left the Russian empire and the loss suffered by Russia as a result.
