The thirty-first annual convention of the Parapsychological Association, held in Montreal, Quebec, included over 30 original presentations representing various aspects of contemporary parapsychological thought and activity. These previously unpublished papers, abstracted in this volume, deal with such issues as emerging PK paradigms, psychic ‘signatures,’ REG and EEG experiments, psychometrics and free-response studies, observational theories, poltergeists, remote viewing, and Ganzfeld studies. One symposium examined gender-related issues in parapsychology, and another addressed GESP targets in psi research. Published in full are two invited addresses: ‘The Healer Phenomenon: Implications for Parapsychology’ by Bernard Grad and ‘Psi Phenomena and Temporal Lobe Activity: The Geomagnetic Factor’ by Michael Persinger. The Presidential Address by Dean Radin (‘The Tao of Psi’) is also reproduced in full.
