Harry Huxhold’s excellent sermons build on the epistle texts from the lectionary to express and explain the meaning of the Lord’s passion and resurrection. His messages interpret the events of Jesus’ life in the light of God’s revelation to us through the scriptures. By sharpening our focus on the access we have to hope through the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, he helps readers find the true significance in the events of his earthly life. Sermon titles include:

Access to Grace (Romans 5:1-11)
Live in the Light (Ephesians 5:8-14)
The Outcome of Faith (1 Peter 1:3-9)
Having High Hope (Ephesians 1:15-23)

Harry N. Huxhold has had a wide-ranging career during more than a half-century in the ministry. He has served parishes in Wisconsin, southwest Chicago, and Indianapolis; worked in the welfare ministry of the church; and taught at the high school level in Chicago and at the university level at Valparaiso University (Indiana). Pastor Huxhold has also been an assistant and interim bishop, was a member of a task force in the creation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and was a part of the dialogue team in the national Methodist-Lutheran dialogue. He has served as president and is the chaplain of the Church Federation of Greater Indianapolis. He holds degrees from Concordia Theological Seminary (St. Louis), Luther Theological Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota), and Christian Theological Seminary (Indianapolis). Huxhold currently serves as pastoral associate at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Carmel, Indiana.
