The Canadian Yearbook of International Law has been published under the auspices of the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association since 1963. Each volume contains articles on important and topical issues as well as book reviews, notes and comments, sections on Canadian practice in international law, a digest of important cases, and commentaries on Canadian treaties.
This bilingual index makes accessible all of the material from the first twenty-five years of the Yearbook’s history. Along with the authors of all the articles, reviews, and commentaries, it lists the laws, cases, conventions, and treaties which have been discussed.
Major topics of continuing concern, such as diplomatic and consular relations, environmental law and the Law of the Sea, outer space, trade law, and the UN Security Council, are treated analytically, as are individual countries, regions such as the Arctic, other international zones including straits and rivers, and peoples such as the Inuit. A separate author index includes all the contributors and all the titles of their works classified by the category into which they fall.
