To randy it seems impossible that short weeks ago he was happy, involved and going places. Now, with a less-than-brilliant new stepmother, a move to the East Coast, and a few crucial mistakes to his credit, he’s trapped in a situation he can’t escape. Jake and his gang of bullies have fingered him as an easy mark. Why? He has access to something they want. And they know how to make him get it. Randy is angry at his father for cutting him off from everything back home. Still, he doesn’t want to betray him by bowing to the pressures of a gang.
