Legends of Palestine (1932)

This volume is a translation with additions and rearrangements of a Hebrew volume by the same author entitled Agadat Erez Yisrael. The translation differs in that fifty tales have been omitted and other legends have been added. These legends are almost entirely from Hebrew and Arabic sources, both from writings and the spoken word, and cover the entire period of Jewish history. Many are adaptations of biblical, talmudic and midrashic stories.
