Volume 1 of 2. Respecting the principles, constitution and ordinances of the Catholic church. Originally appeared in the form of letters to a member of the Society of Friends. Its main object was to inquire whether an acknowledgment of the spiritual principles involved the rejection of the Christian ordinances, or whether one did not necessarily imply the other. The Quakers sought to establish a spiritual kingdom in the world. Part 1 is entitled on the principles of the Quakers and of the different religious bodies which have arisen since the Reformation and of the systems to which they have given birth and Part 2 discusses the Catholic church and Romish system.
