Light of the World: Daily Meditations for Advent

To know Jesus, we must examine the names given to him in the Hebrew Scriptures as well as those Jesus ascribed to himself in the gospels. Light of the World reflects what is revealed by the various names or attributes of Christ found in Scripture, as well those around him.

John Timmerman provides a reflection for each day of the four weeks of Advent. Each reflection contains an explanation of a name or attribute of Jesus, a Scripture quote, and a prayer.

These reflections will help us find the answer to our plea, to acquire a more intimate love for Jesus by understanding better who he is.
