This work discusses French-British relations in the period following World War I. It looks at how the fear of German power fostered an Anglo-French co-operation that lasted until the end of the war. Within this background, discussions focus on the post-war domestic pressures and tensions that affected the Anglo-French association and which contributed to its decline. The book’s treatment of the topic has particular relevance in the light of recent Anglo-French concern about Germany’s role in Europe after its reunification.
