Throughout its history Cunard has been instrumental in creating the American dream, transporting millions of immigrants to the new world. During both world wars, the Cunard ships answered the call of duty and transported thousands of troops to fight on the sides of the allies. After the Great Depression, Cunard merged with the famous White Star Line to form Cunard-White Star, and the enduring history of this great shipping line has carried on into the twenty-first century, with the three current Queens celebrating Cunard’s heritage. This new paperback edition is updated with events over the last 5 years since the 175th anniversary hardback was produced, and includes many colourful new photos.
