This book provides an overview of lasers, silicon sensors, and practical solutions to beam profiling which has never been presented in a single text. The focus of this practical guide will be to provide the reader with the information necessary to image and calibrate the beam profile at any operating distance using inexpensive, off-the-shelf equipment. The chapters of this text will be introducing (1) lasers, (2) filters and (3) silicon detectors. These theoretical chapters form the foundation for understanding the laboratory equipment and working with them without details that are beyond the scope of this text.
