This title is printed to order. This book may have been self-published. If so, we cannot guarantee the quality of the content. In the main most books will have gone through the editing process however some may not. We therefore suggest that you be aware of this before ordering this book. If in doubt check either the author or publisher’s details as we are unable to accept any returns unless they are faulty. Please contact us if you have any questions.
This revised edition updates and extends the seven chapters of the first edition. In particular, Chapter 3 is extended on the Kramers-Kronig relation to include another astrophysical application: dispersion by interstellar medium, which is very timely due to the Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs). Additionally, Chapter 7 will be revised extensively by including new sum rules for massive vector bosons, derived from doubly-virtual Compton scattering on spin-1 target (analogous to how it’s done for spin ½ in Chapter 5). This material is necessary to complete the subject of sum rules for spin-1 particles. In overall, the text will be corrected and improved. New examples and figures will be included to aid reader’s understanding. Comments of the author’s students and colleagues, who are familiar with the first edition, will be taken into account.
