Michel Foucault: An Introduction

Offering a thematic approach, this work is organized into sections that allow the reader to explore Foucault’s work, covering strands of Foucault’s thought on power and knowledge, discipline and punishment, history and the subject. The book has both a theoretical and practical focus: the first five chapters explore Foucault’s ideas in each of his major works, while the last two illustrate some of the theoretical and political possibilities opened up by Foucauldian frameworks.
