The Plato Reader

This text presents 46 key passages from the works of Plato in a new translation. All central aspects of philosophy as discussed by Plato are covered, and the text is annotated and cross-referenced. The arrangement of the book allows a broad comparative reading of related passages in different dialogues. Each group of selections contains an introduction to the main themes and contexts, while readings selected reflect current teaching and research interests, and include most of the well-known texts.
