When Lolita decided it was time to write a brief family history to pass on as a legacy to her daughters, she never thought it would become a voyage of discovery for her. The secrets and hidden skeletons fascinated her, so Lolita delved deeper into old letters, documents and diaries. The brief history has become a book that is of interest not just to family and friends, but to the general public as well. Lolita’s family history, including her own childhood, strikes her as being more unusual than what most folk experience. Lolita will be publishing a follow-up book, Life and Loves of Lolita, which will relate how she lived to the full while single. It will include love letters she exchanged with her soldier sweetheart, who served in Vietnam.
