Taking a Part: Young People’s Participation in Church

Young people are a marginalized group. They are often apart from the Church rather than a part of the Church. This volume demonstrates that young people might be able to help others in the Church in real and dynamic ways. The authors use theories from sociology, psychology and anthropology to throw light on this key issue of participation in the Church. Alongside the theory, the text features contributions from young people and youth workers who relate their experience of church and offer examples of their own active contributions to church life. This is set within a theological context, which draws on the biblical story of the talents.
