Only recently promoted from patrol, he is thrust into the spotlight as the lead investigator on a series of grisly murders after several young women are discovered in Prospect Park; strangled and mutilated. The investigation gets more personal after several more victims appear, each having cryptic messages from the killer.

Alex can’t shake the lingering feeling that somehow his troubling past, the one he thought he buried at the secluded cabin in Colorado has somehow resurrected itself and followed him to New York.

In the end, it’s a race against the clock to find the killer and piece together the clues before he strikes again. But will Alex succeed or will this be the concluding chapter in his tumultuous life?
