God desires for us to be happy and to live prosperous lives on this earth, however that life is attained through serving Him. We selfishly want all that we do to bring us glory and advance our earthly kingdoms. After all, we were made in His image, so it makes sense that we desire to advance our kingdom as He desires to advance His Kingdom. However, the key is not to place our desires above God’s (John8:54 NKJV). Our whole purpose for existing is to advance God’s Kingdom. Many of us may view this concept as a life of oppression, but the truth is, there is abundance through our service. Living on purpose every day of our lives and remaining mindful of who we are in Christ will truly transform our responses. This 31-day devotional was created to foster the habit of spending time in His presence by taking small, yet intentional steps to redirect your thoughts. Each day will reveal a lie I’ve believed (myth), the truth I’ve learned as I grew closer to God and daily scriptures and mantras for you to meditate on until you begin to believe His truth. His name is enough when your situation takes the wind out of your sails.
