When Pete Chandler, an investigator for the US Export/Import Bank, receives a call for help from an old friend and colleague at the bank who works in South America, Pete drops everything to go. Before he can get there, his friend dies in a freak accident—he falls out of a tourist ride into a deep river gorge. As Pete digs into the mystery of the death, he discovers his friend has been living a double life that has pulled-in South American law enforcement and Chinese gangsters. Pete becomes the target of forces that assume he was part of the friend’s crimes.
