In 80s of the last century, China implemented an open-door policy by sending a large number of students to study in the United States, expecting them to return home and serve for China. In 1989, China surged with stormy movement of freedom and democracy. The conservatives and reformists fiercely battled for power control. In the United States, Chinese oversea-students were inspired and encouraged by the movement. While they were trying to accomplish their study, they were actively engaging in the democratic rallies and parades to echo what was going on in China that would determine their fate in the future. The 6.4th Massacre in Tiananmen Square smashed their dream of democracy, during which they experienced griefs and losses. When they met again in their reunion more than twenty years later, everything had been changed, except that those sweetness and sorrow were still buried inside their hearts.
