When thirteen-year-old Nick befriends an injured bald eagle in Yellowstone National Park, his world is magically transformed. The eagle, Mike Mulligan, introduces Nick to other animals: he flies with pelicans, swims with trout, challenges a lynx, and outsmarts a black bear.
