Samaritan Adventurer

Fifty-six years. That’s how long we had been married when Kay died. I was at a loss. My life felt upside down. No purpose. No goal. I was alone. After doing as much cleaning, purging, and organizing in our Northport, Michigan, home as I could, I decided a road trip was in order. I would pack up Susie, my 1998 Suburban with over 200,000 miles, and drive through Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and into Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. The adventures I had and the people I met along the way changed my life-in ways I could never have imagined.
