Wicked Official Maine Dictionary

WELCOME to a book of Maine humor, facts, and the preservation of the Maine dialect. This has been done with love and care by a true Wicked Official Down Eastah, not a comedian trying to duplicate the dialect. One of my greatest hopes is that this book will inspire someone from the deep southern US, or Texas, or some other area in the US where people are proud of their English dialect to write about it and preserve it as well as the culture from whence it comes. In this book, there are descriptions of places and people that will awaken and entertain all your senses. If you are from away , you’ll gain a wealth of knowledge AND have fun doin’ it. If you’re a Mainer, especially a Wicked Official Down East Mainer, you’ll delight in reading about what makes you unique AND feel proud of it. Either way, you’ll have a special experience.
