Afternoon In Pearls is the coming of age story of Lily Pearl Edmondson; set during many historical events, her family saga spans the first four decades of the Twentieth Century. Lily Pearl grows up during the end of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, including the Great War, the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, and culminates during the end of WWII. Come along on her adventures from the beginning, as she is born on the idyllic, dreamy tropical island nation of Oahu, Hawaii. Then travel with her to live in oil booming Texas; continue her journey across America, abroad to Europe and Asia. While seeking her place in the world, Lily Pearl endures many trials and tribulations on her life path to becoming an empowered young woman, learning to become better instead of bitter, as she grows in grit and grace.
