2000 Years of Social Wisdom: Catholic Social Teaching from the Papacy

The Catholic Church teaches [insert political party line] about [insert social issue]! Does it? While many fantastic works have synthesized Catholic Social Teaching, the subject remains a mystery to many: what does the Catholic Church REALLY teach about immigration/wages/contraception - and hundreds of other issues? Is Pope Francis a radical departure from past popes on social issues like Capitalism, the environment, or immigration? Is the representation of what the Catholic Church teaches tinted by our political party allegiances? Historically, why do our political parties think the way they do on issues?
