The suffering of the author’s brother who has dementia has been a profound test to her faith. It caused her to think deeply about a deity in anyone’s life. From it comes the motivation to write a book about faith and the creation and destiny of life. That gives insight into why she would choose to write a book that blends science and religion as this one does. Others can be reminded of their own lives, through the narratives of her background. Their questioning and searching can lead them to a deeper spiritual life. The uniqueness of ALL is in its constant invitation to the readers to use their own creative thinking to address the problems in today’s world and to join others in thinking of solutions for an abiding future for life on Earth. It combines religion and science by pointing to mankind’s connection to the omniscient MIND and urges respect for and use of the scientific method of inquiry as a way of getting consistent results through repeat trials. My goal as the writer of ALL is not to tell, but to lead the reader into deep contemplation of extreme opposites as a means to understand the nature of problems and the ways to solve them. It asks the reader to question as a means to find solutions to problems. The author writings urge the reconciliation of the differences between science and religion. The author - in her mid-eighties - has kept up with intense interest on the new research in cosmology and writes about Dark Matter, Black Holes, Super Novas and expansion and the contraction in the Universe. She sees the Big Bang as a more awesome creation than the story of Adam and Eve. She advocates governments providing free education for birth control in clinics to both men and women. With this plan far fewer unwanted children would be conceived. Therefore few abortions would be required and separate medical clinics would provide counseling and adoptive services as abortion would be a last resort.
