The Clever Cat

This is the story of Ulysses, a coal black cat, and his family which includes two children, Judith and Rose. The story is set in Hanover, New Hampshire, where the author’s parents and her sister lived. Eleanor Frances Lattimore wrote more than 50 children’s books. Her best-known book, Little Pear, is considered a modern classic. She writes in a simple, direct style and her distinctive, bold line drawings support and complement the text. The Clever Cat will be enjoyed by children in the lower primary grades, ages 5 to 7, and older, especially by children who love cats!
