Bet’s nest is empty. She has a new job she loves. She’s ready for her new-found freedom and life’s next big adventure. Glitch: a phone call from hubby, Steve. It seems his dad’s in trouble. Enter George, a lovable, pain-in-the-ass. Has he has lost his mind? Does he need care? Who’s going to do that? So much for anticipated freedom and adventure. Instead of carpooling and laundry, Bet’s life lands smack-dab in the middle of the mess George has created. Months go by. Steve steps out, but not up to helping care for his dad.
