At times in our world today, the parents take a backseat to their children and provide no real direction. It’s as if the parents in this generation have become subject to the child(ren). But, then again, the Bible speaks of such, now doesn’t it? In this personal recollection and account of her life, Mattie Franklin, examines her upbringing in Concord, North Carolina, where she was born and raised and still lives today.
