Everything known from the Scriptures about the season Christians celebrate as Easter occurred within or near a single square mile in Israel. That square mile contains the city of Jerusalem. The book begins by pointing out the link between the first Passover, before the exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt, and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for the redemption of sin. Chapters two and three present selected events in the life and ministry of Jesus as he fulfilled God’s plan and timeline during his journey toward the cross. Seven of the fourteen chapters in the book focus on the period beginning with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and conclude with his crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. The final chapters briefly cover Jesus’ ascension and his future return, as well as selected scriptures dealing with the significance of Easter.
