Out of nowhere, a tragedy: 87-year old Nana Rose, the matriarch of the Palmer clan, has died under mysterious circumstances, sending the already tempestuous lives of her daughter, Marjorie, and three granddaughters – Caroline, Lauren and Gwen – in unexpected directions.
