The purpose of this book is to help the beginning flat-picker learn the essential elements and styles to become a better Bluegrass and Old-time guitar player. This book will also help take you from the beginner status to more of an intermediate player. I have adapted the playing styles of Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Russ Barenberg, and The Carter Family in the arrangements throughout the book. This book will give you insight on what it takes to advance your flat-picking skills. The preface goes in depth about the techniques necessary to mastering the art of flat-picking.
