Christians Are Revolting: An Infidel’s Progress is a biographical account of a radical Christian and self-proclaimed Jesus Freak on his journey to an unexpected conclusion: Christians no longer follow Jesus. There are few things more daunting and futile than discussing how another person’s religion is wrong. People have grown accustomed to their beliefs and have built identities around them. Given a genetic predisposition to question authority and ridicule inconsistency, the author recounts his story engaging in various churches and denominations as a questioning outcast. Finding issues with various doctrines and bringing them to light yielded a harvest of friends-turned-enemies and undying frustration. Continual rejection fueled his fire to seek and learn all the more while leading to even greater revelation of the church’s dismissal of its God. Such frustration and knowledge grew into a book: the story of an outrageous, fanatical Christian who found God to be made in man’s image and not the other way around. Harsh on the surface, but gooey in the middle, the author retells his story and what he learned so that he might help bring back the love that once rocked the core of Christianity-the love that Jesus taught before he was replaced with a rebellious church’s zombie just as Jesus predicted.
