Nomi’s Hiding Place

Nomi, a 12-year-old South Sudanese girl, leads a comfortable life in her village – until one terrifying day when rebel soldiers attack. Nomi’s family escapes into the thick forest around their home. Scattered, they lose contact with each other, and Nomi realizes she is all alone. She decides to try to find a refugee camp in Uganda that someone once mentioned. But where is Uganda? And what is a refugee camp? Nomi’s journey tests her courage, inner strength, and physical stamina as she searches for what is most important – her family.
