Unmet Needs

What causes respectable people to display extramarital behaviors that shock us to the core? Is it a weakness in their character or something more profound? Could it be a lapse of their moral compass or the secret penchant for the excitement of immediate gratification? Some would say ‘it’s just plain old lust.

Those reasons may all be valid. However, in Al Gee’s 40 plus years of ministry, he has discovered another reason, namely UNMET NEEDS. Seldom discussed but evident in far too many lives, this has been found to be the culprit of ongoing silent frustration.

This book provides a brief narrative of some privately shared stories of how people handled or mishandled this deficit. Some survived, others fell prey to public scorn and ridicule. There are even some accounts in the Bible that address this very issue. That begs the question, Is God interested at all in satisfying our secret unmet needs. Most assuredly! However, how He fulfills the need may be disturbing. From years of study, counseling and personal experience, the author made a startling discovery: some relationships that we deem entirely inappropriate God does not. He does not shy away from unsavory relationships. Surprisingly, at times He is the very one who intentionally designs them.
