But as luck would have it, a blown radiator begins a mystical journey into the vast Beyond for these two seasoned, wayfaring veterans. Going to California is a companion story to A Spirit Called Alcohol, where Leroy’s healing journey began. Spiritually guided by an Unseen Hand, Hal and Leroy discover a solution for a spiritual malady which has plagued mankind for eons. In his heart, Hal made a prayer for veterans from every war after a newscaster revealed how many young veterans were dying by their own hand. With that simple prayer, a series of events was set in motion, calling both Hal and Leroy to a Higher Branch of Service. To heal a lost soul required a gentle tenderness and the redeeming power of love. Through prayer, songs and ceremony, these humble men called to the Creator to send His Spiritual Warriors to bring healing and forgiveness to a troubled place.
