Dear Continuum: Letters to a Poet Crafting Liberation

-These (are) letters of wisdom, compassion, and understanding deeply rooted in the day to day practice of -walking the walk-… the book made me feel as though I’d just heard Amiri Baraka or Sonia Sanchez -blow- a new sound/solo on their Soul-instruments, and regretted that I hadn’t done so. Tallie’s knowledge, experience and deep insight caused me to wish that as a young, ‘60s poet, I’d had the good fortune to receive such a spiritual and literary gift. 
Yes, our elders spoke to us, but few, if any, wrote to our Generation with such compassionate understanding.-
