Lottie, a twenty year old Amish woman from Ohio has Granny Weaver on a mission: find her a man in need of a wife. Phil Darby, the new single pastor at Smicksburg Baptist makes quite a stir as he spends too much time with Lottie. Granny and Phil visit shut-in, MJ, along with her loving husband Andy. They see a strong marriage despite great hardship. This causes Phil to long for a marriage like theirs. Granny nudges women in her knitting circle with marital problems to visit this dear couple.
